Continually recognized for its training expertise, community service, and entrepreneurial achievement, Puente takes exemplary care of its clients, community and employees. The company and team awards are further proof of the unique value and talented staff that are Puente’s trademarks. The most current Puente awards are held by its CEO, Patti Perez, who has been honored for everything from entrepreneurism to community volunteerism. The following are examples of her most recent awards and honors:
- The National Association of Women Business Owners’ (NAWBO) esteemed 2007 Woman Business Owner of the Year award for her accomplishments, leadership, innovation, and integrity. Ms. Perez’s win was announced at NAWBO’s annual BRAVO! Awards Ceremony on May 16, 2007.
- The “Cesar Chavez Community Service Award”, given by Minorities in Business Magazine for significant community involvement and outstanding service to the multicultural community at large. She was honored onstage at the 11th Annual Multicultural Prism Awards Gala in Los Angeles on December 10, 2006.
- Nominated for “Women Who Move the City” Award in 2007. This award recognizes women who are leaders in their industries and is sponsored by San Diego Magazine.
- The San Diego Metropolitan Magazine named her one of San Diego’s 40 brightest young business and civic leaders. She was honored with the prestigious “40 Under 40” award on September 19, 2006.
